Scala Forever

With the Film4 Summer Screen closing in spectacular, and surprisingly dry, style last night with The Princess Bride we need a new London-based celebration of cinema to get behind. Luckily for us, starting this Saturday is Scala Forever, a seven-week-long series of screenings across London’s best venues, celebrating the memory of one of the most famous repertory cinemas in London.

The range of films and venues on offer is amazing and below are some of my personal highlights, including screenings, talks and a four-film musical marathon starting with Bugsy Malone and ending with Rocky Horror:

Saturday 13 August 7PM | Opening Night: King Kong
Roxy Bar and Screen | Tickets £6 / £3 Roxy Members

Friday 19 August 8PM | Fantastic Mr Fox

Saturday 20 August 11PM – 6AM | Zombie All-Nighter
