The studios are back to giving me grief by releasing films whenever they like rather than neatly on a Friday. Today we have annoying little creatures, and some Smurfs. (That was a zinger at Dominic Cooper by the way.)
The Devil’s Double
Dominic Cooper takes on dual lead roles as the son of Saddam Hussein and his body double. Reviews are pretty evenly split but I’m intrigued to see how well Cooper does at acting against himself.
The Smurfs
On the plus side, Neil Patrick Harris. On the minus side… The Smurfs In 3D. Need we say more? One review described this as a film solely for Neil Patrick Harris completists, I can think of a few people that would apply to.

That’s me that is! One of the first things I was asked when I got back from holiday was if I’d seen the Smurfs yet. My answer was “no… because it’s not out yet.”
I might go and see it this weekend. There’s something about seeing NPH and Jayma Mays being adorable together that can make me forget all about the actual Smurfs AND the fact Jayma’s character is pregnant.
